Hawaii- Oahu- Day 7 & 8

Thursday, April 26, 2012

Today we tried to sleep in a bit and get some rest.  We finally got up around 9:00am and headed out to Dukes for their Breakfast Buffet.  Yummy!

After Dukes, we walked back along Waikiki Beach to our hotel.  We had to stay one night in a hotel room and then today we were able to move into the condo we rented.  Here are some pictures of our condo.  It was brand newly remodeled/decorated and everything was beautiful.  We had plenty of space and it was great to have the kitchen!

We unpacked, settled in and headed over to get some groceries and lunch at Safeway.  Then we went to visit with David and pick up Chris's tux.  We came back to the condo and got freshened up, then went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner at Lulu's.

I came back to the condo with the boys around 10:00pm and Chris went out with David and some of the guys for the Bachelor Party.

Chris got up and headed out to go Kayaking with David and the other guys for their "Bachelor Event".  He had a great time!  Me and the boys decided to spend the day chillin' at Waikiki Beach.  We walked over and just hung out swimming, laying in the sun and playing in the waves.  The boys are like little fish!  The absolutely love the water!  And so does their mom!

We ate a picnic lunch and eventually met up with Rochelle and Karyssa.

I had signed Logan and Ethan up for surf lessons at 1:30 with the Beach Boys outside of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.  Ethan's instructor was named Barney, and Logan had Derick.  They were GREAT!  They were so patient and took so much time with the boys.  They first did a land lesson where they learned different moves and how to get up on the board..

Then they headed out into the water!

These pictures were taken from a photographer in the water- so cool to see them up close!

My Surfer Boys!

After our surf lesson, we walked along the beach and rented these big water bikes.  I road with Logan, Ethan and Rochelle rode together, and Karyssa took Ryan.  It was fun but really hard work!  We saw a few sea turtles right off the beach!  Cool!  No pictures.

We headed back to the hotel and picked up the car.  Then we headed off to Ala Moana Beach Park for a picnic and family gathering of the wedding guests.  We hung around until about 9:00pm and were able to get a great view of the fireworks from the Hyatt above the  Ilikai Marina.  It was beautiful!  We headed back to the condo, showered and off to bed.
