Ahhh....4th of July.
Today we celebrate the birth of our nation! More than just a time to get together with family and friends, today is a day that we remember all the freedoms we have and treasure the great gifts we have been given.
As we gather around and say a blessing for our food, we are reminded that the United States was founded on the belief that we could be free to worship any religion without punishment. When we bicker and debate and argue, we know we have the freedom to speak our mind. We talk about upcoming hunting trips and can rest assured that we have the freedom to own and use a gun. We have the right to vote and choose our political leaders. We have a right to a fair trial for any crimes we are accused of. I am so grateful to live in this great country and am proud to be a citizen of the United States of America!
To celebrate July 4th, we hosted a party at our house. We invited family and friends and enjoyed lots of food, games, swimming, and fun!

Around 7:00, we headed over to Famous Dave's to eat BBQ for dinner and watch the fireworks from the patio there. We had a good turn-out & the fireworks were awesome! We had such a great view!

Rather than fight the traffic to get out of the Arrowhead area, Chris & I decided we would take the boys to go see Cars 2. We walked over to Harkins and saw the movie! It was fun! We did miss having Logan with us today. I thought about him alot and hope he is having fun at camp.
Happy 4th of July!
