February 9, 2012  Teagan and Tucker are Born!

Nikki texted me the morning of February 9 to let me know that the babies were going to be born by C-Section at 5:00pm.  Tucker had been dropping his heart rate with the contractions and the Dr. had decided it was time to take the babies!   I took the kids out of school a little early and we headed over to the hospital to welcome in our new baby cousins!

Nikki is 35 weeks, 4 days pregnant

The babies arrived around 5:30pm.  Tucker Grant weighed in at 5lbs, 3 oz.  Teagan Rae weighed 4lbs 13oz.  Both are so beautiful with fuzzy blond hair!

They had to keep both the babies in the nursery overnight, so my boys were not able to meet their new cousins.  The nurses were nice enough to hold the babies up so we could at least take a peek!

Chris took the boys home around 8:30pm and I was able to stay until about 12:30am visiting with the babies.

Here is Nikki around midnight.  That crazy girl walked from her room all the way down to the nursery so she could hold and try to breastfeed the twins.  6 hours post-op!  What a determined mama!

The next evening, Chris & I brought the kids back up to see the babies.
