Christmas Eve 2011

We spent Christmas Eve celebrating the season with the Sterne Family.  Jim and Rochelle hosted at their house.  We had delicious Mexican food for lunch along with conversation and family time.

After visiting and hanging out for awhile, we let the kids open gifts. We make them go one at a time starting with the youngest first. They all had fun and got some neat gifts!

Lori- 9 months pregnant!  Due any day now!

Rochelle bought the boys these funny glasses.

The grown-ups do a White Elephant gift exchange. I ended up with a Sportsmans gift card. Chris almost got this cool Star Wars candy bar- but traded at the end for a nice toolbox. It was a lot of fun!

After or Christmas Eve with the Sternes, we went to Palmcroft for Christmas Eve service with my mom.   We love going to this service for Christmas Eve.  The sanctuary is so beautiful with all the white lights.  They have the kids go up on stage and read a story to them.  The tell the whole nativity story and intersperse with all kinds of Christmas Hymns and songs.  It is so wonderful!

After Christmas Eve Service, we headed over to Grandma Muffin's house for Christmas Eve with the Townsend Family.  We had yummy appetizers and desserts.  Some of the adults did the gift exchange, the boys opened some gifts, and Grandma had gifts for everyone.  It was a nice time to hang out and talk with everyone.  It is always good to get together!
