Ethan's First Grade Variety Show

Ethan's 1st Grade class had a variety show.  His class sang "Surfin' USA" by the Beach Boys.  They were so cute!  Each class sang a song, and then the entire first grade did a few songs all together.

Logan's 3rd grade Class Play

Logan's class has been doing a special on Arizona history.  They have put together a quilt that the kids designed and worked on for Arizona's centennial celebration.  They are entering it in a contest to travel across the state.  One of the kids grandmas has been coming in as a guest speaker and teaching them about Arizona history.  The kids put on this play as the finale to their section on Arizona.

Logan invited me to come.   He had a very important part as President Lincoln.  He was very excited about this part and studied his lines very hard.  He did PERFECT!!  He knew all his lines and didn't make any mistakes!  What a hard worker!

Cub Scout Spring Camp

We headed up near Payson for the cub scouts Spring Campout.  Our Tiger den was in charge of camp, so we had to coordinate all the meals, activities, and campfire.  It was alot of work!  And alot of fun too!

Jadon, Ethan, Christopher, Aidan....some of our Tigers!

Logan & Holden

Chris taught a class on Survival Skills

Mike Tobin taught a class on fire starting

We had a cooking class...

And the kids made a neat Beaded Pack 513 pin.

Campfire time!  Each den did skits and Angela Dew and I led the songs.  Mike Tobin came as "Payson Pete" and got quite a few laughs from the kids.  It was a good time.

The Bears den (Logan's) did the funniest skit!  The kids paired up with one boy being the arms of the other boy.  The brushed teeth and did some other funny stuff.  It was hilarious!  I laughed so hard I was crying!

Even Nadine joined in!

It was a busy and fun-filled camp!

Mother's Day 2011

Happy Mother's Day!
To celebrate Mother's Day, Tiff, Timmy, and I took mom out to dinner at Monti's La Casa Vieja in Tempe.  This is mom's favorite place to get a great Fillet Mignon! : )  We had an awesome time eating great food, talking, debating religion and discussing  9/11 Conspiracy Theories.  It was a good time!

And the night wouldn't be complete without a couple of punches and some awesome glasses!

Ice Cream Social

Ryan's preschool had a big fundraiser/auction and "Kiss the Pig" contest.  We went and had lots of fun with all the activities!

The theme and decorations were so cute!!!

Digging for gold

In the Petting Zoo

Pony Rides

Carnival Games

The preschool has this beautiful garden- the kids bring in and plant flowers and vegetables, care for the garden throughout the year, and then pick and eat the produce.  It is so cool!  I thought the garden looked so beautiful, blooming and full of veggies to eat.

"Kiss the Pig" Contest!  The board had made these neat jugs decorated like pigs.  The past 2 weeks they have had them out & the kids have been dropping their change in the various teachers jugs.  Whichever teacher had the most change "got" to kiss the PIG!  Mrs. Black (the director) won 2nd place & Ryan's teacher, Mrs. Berneberg won the contest!  She is such a good sport!  It was hilarious to see her kiss the pig!
