Star Wars Movie Night

We are planning a trip to Cayucos and Disneyland in a few months, and the Kim, the boys, and I decided we wanted to do a few "Disney Family Movie Nights" to get us in the mood!  We did these before our Disney World trip and occasionally still do them. The boys love to play games, do crafts and eat special food- than watch a Disney movie.  Lots of good time as a family!

We decided to do Star Wars night because Kim & Bill were not able to come this night and the boys really wanted to do Star Wars as the new Star Tours Ride opens up when we go to Disney this time.  Ethan had his buddy Matthew over, so he joined us.

It was a fun night!  After the activities they watched episode 6, Return of the Jedi.  Can't wait for the new Star Tours ride in a few months!

The Royal Wedding Tea Time!

I invited my mom over for tea and to watch the "Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton".  I had recorded it on the TIVO because of the time difference and so we watched it a day late!

Mom, Ryan, and I had a wonderful breakfast of tea and scones, fruit, and eggs.  Mom brought a few dishes and some tea & sugar from England.  I used a recipe to make the delicios cranberry orange scones with clotted cream and jam.  Delicious!

After breakfast we watched the wedding and about 3 hours of commentary!
What a fun day....wishing we were back in England!

Mom's Night at the Preschool

4/19/2011

Tonight we celebrated "Moms" at Ryan's preschool.  This is my 7th Mom's Night at preschools.  3 with Logan, 2 with Ethan, and now my 2nd with Ryan.  But this one feels extra special to me.  This is the last preschool mom's night I will ever have!    My baby is growing up so fast and next year he will be in Kindergarten!  I can hardly believe how fast it has gone.  I know people always say that, but it is so true.  I need to constantly remind myself to slow down and enjoy these years.  Soon they won't want me around, much less eating cookies and painting my nails! : )  So here are some pictures of my beautiful littlest boy and his mommy....

Shaving my legs!

Playing games!

Painting my nails!  (Love the concentrating tongue!)

I love you my "Big Cutie Ryan the Lion"!!!

Easter 2011

Ethan's 1st Grade Easter Egg Hunt

We started off our Easter weekend joining Ethan's class for their Egg Hunt at the park across from the school.  The eggs were laid out all over the grassy park area.  When they said "go", the kids raced down the hill and grabbed up their 12 eggs!  What a blast!

Dyeing Easter Eggs

On Saturday, we colored Easter eggs!  This is something we do every year as a family and the boys are getting so independent now.  They like to make patterns and write on the eggs with the "Magic Crayon" before dipping them in the dye.

Easter Morning

Look!  The Easter Bunny left baskets! : )

Logan is kind of in denial.  He clings to the belief in the magic!  He has taken to leaving notes to get autographs from Santa & the Easter Bunny.  Too Cute! : )

We always hunt for the dyed eggs that the Easter Bunny hides around the house.

Helping little brother reach one up high!

Easter with the Family

After church, we headed out to Chandler for some family fun!  My Aunt Sharon always hosts us for a yummy lunch, swimming, and a big Egg Hunt!  It is always so nice to be outside and enjoy the conversations and family time.
